This vacation rental always requires prepayment for its bookings.
In order to avoid fraud, only make prepayments (reservations or deposits) using a credit card (or any other card that does not require a PIN number for online purchases) or PayPal. Never make an advanced payment using cash, checks, money orders or bank transfers. Learn why.
Bookings & Deposits
- All bookings require a 1/2 deposit in order to confirm the booking.
- The outstanding balance is payable 14 days prior to arrival.
- NOTE: If any of the above payments are not received by the required time, the booking may be cancelled and a cancellation fee of $100.00 will apply.
Holiday Letting Bond:
Cape Heritage requires a holiday letting security bond of $500.00, payable 2 weeks prior to arrival, by cheque or direct deposit into the Cape Heritage bank account. This sum is then repaid by direct deposit into your bank account or by cheque within 5 working days of departure, following an inspection, provided the property is left in the same condition as at the start of the occupancy. This holiday letting bond is designed to cover any missing or damaged items, and any extra cleaning of the property that may be required, following your departure. The security deposit of $500.00 is held until the tenancy is completed.
Cancellations:
All refunded deposits are subject to an administration fee of 12% of the deposit paid (minimum $100.00).
Christmas, New Year and Easter School Holiday Periods:
Your deposit is refundable (subject to the above-stated cancellation fee) only if:
a) 4 months’ notice is given of cancellation or part-cancellation and
b) The accommodation is re-booked by Cape Heritage for the same period and value of the booking.
All other times:
Your deposit is refundable (subject to the above-stated cancellation fee) only if:
a) One month’s notice is given of cancellation or part cancellation and
b) The accommodation is re-booked by Cape Heritage for the same period and value of the booking.
