The 175 acre beachfront Turtle Beach Lodge encompasses miles of jungle trails, a meandering private canal and a half mile of isolated, black sand beach on the Caribbean Sea.

Tortuguero has incredible biological variety due to the existence of eleven different habitats. The beaches are a key nesting ground for endangered sea turtles and manatees, caiman and crocodiles live in the canals. The jungle is home to endangered jaguars, three species of monkeys (spider, howler, and white-faced Capuchin) and three-toed sloths. Basilisk lizards and tree frogs inhabit the area, along with 375 species of birds.

Return from your explorations each day and relax on our beach, in a hammock or kayak through the canals. Shoot pool, play chess or cards in our games rancho and enjoy a leisurely dinner with your fellow travelers or a romantic dinner for two.

Policies

In order to avoid fraud, only make prepayments (reservations or deposits) using a credit card (or any other card that does not require a PIN number for online purchases) or PayPal. Never make an advanced payment using cash, checks, money orders or bank transfers. Learn why.

CHARGE POLICY
Your credit card is not charged in advance. As is standard in lodging & hospitality, we simply secure an authorization for the supplied card, and your information goes on file as a reservation guarantee. In the event of cancellation, your card shall be charged only according to the terms of our Cancellation Policy set forth below. Upon your arrival you are welcome to pay by cash, credit card or travelers checks. Please be advised that there is a 5.5% surcharge for using credit cards for payment. It is unfortunate, but this is due to very high merchant transaction clearing deductions here in Costa Rica, and we must recover this by a surcharge.

CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be made in writing by e-mail or fax, for our records and for your protection. To avoid any miscommunications or errors, we are not able accept cancellations by phone.

Cancellations must be made three weeks (21 days) prior to your scheduled arrival in order to avoid a cancellation charge. Cancellations received between 11 and 20 days prior to scheduled arrival will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations received 10 days or less prior to schedule arrival will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
